The baby has arrived
I'm sorry I didn't post this earlier but you can't say I didn't warn you. I did elude to it in my last post. Bear was born at home on Monday August 24th.

First day of school
A few things happened yesterday to distract me from posting my kids first day of school pictures. I'll write about those distractions when I'm done typing it up.
Owl had his first day last Wed and Monkey has his yesterday. He was so excited for kindergarten he wanted to skip breakfast and just go!

I also thought I'd add this picture of Frog. She got caught painting her toe nails. Impressively she didn't get any on the floor.

Here is my 39.5 week picture.

No baby
I am currently 39 weeks and am ready to hide in a hole for the rest of the month. I'm sure I do this to pregnant women and I know people are just trying to be supportive but its not fun to be huge, uncomfortable and pregnant and have someone say "You're still pregnant!" "You haven't had that baby yet?" "When are you going to be induced?" "How long are they going to let you go?"
First of all, yes, if I walk up to you and still have a huge belly, I am still pregnant. Oh and no, I haven't had the baby yet. The when will you be induced is just plain silly. My body knew how to make the baby, it's not going to suddenly forget how to get it out. Oh yea and who are these "they" who are going to "let" me go to a certain amount of weeks? I mean seriously! Who ever said a pregnancy is supposed to be 38 weeks and if you don't go by 40, you're overdue. For crying out loud, every woman 'bakes' a baby for their own amount of time and no Dr. is going to tell me when to have this baby.
I know I'm uncomfortable and would love to be able to sleep a full night without waking up with heartburn or having to use the restroom two times a night. I would love to be able to lay on my back, stomach or get out of bed without having to use my leg on the side to pull myself out. But you know what? It matters to me if I force my baby out of me when he/she is not ready. Who am I or some Dr. to say he/she is ready?
So there you have it! Here is my plea to everyone, I promise, we will let you know when the baby comes. I love you but I can't handle being asked every day if I've had the baby. I don't even want to call and talk to anyone because they might think I had the baby and get all dissapointed that I haven't.

Free photo shop class
I just signed up for a free photoshop class online. It's free because they want at least 1000 people to sign up to keep it free. I thought it would be kind of fun.
Here is the link so you too can sign up for this free photoshop class. http://creativetechs.com/tipsblog/free-6-month-photoshop-course/

School
School starts in a week and half for Owl and 2 weeks for Monkey. They do assesments for the Kindergartners the first 3 days and then they start the next Monday.
We found out two weeks ago that Monkey got into the local charter school but Owl just got put on the sibling priority list. He was number one or two and they said if a slot opened up between now and October 1st, he would get in. I got a phone call this afternoon from the school telling me a slot opened up! I was so excited because the prospect of having to take my kids to two different schools sounded doable, but not very fun.
They had a picnic last Friday where we could meet their teachers and Owl was a little upset he wasn't able to meet his. Hopefully he will get to meet his this week when we get to go in and fill out all the registration stuff and he gets to take tests to see where he stands.
This school basically teaches the same things as the other charter school we went to but has a different math. I'm hoping its not too bad and the boys will do great in the school.

Fat lip
We went to a local splash pad where the boys got to enjoy some water and toys. They ended up getting their first sunburn because they didn't want to keep their shirts on.
On our way out, I was walking toward the van with Owl and Frog behind. Monkey decided Frog wasn't being fast enough, so he picked her up and started running toward me. I looked back just in time to watch him trip and they both flew forward. Monkey skinned his knee and Frog smacked her forehead and mouth on the sidewalk.
I took her into the bathroom and cleaned her up as best I could, leaving my poor boys outside with the stroller.

We got into the van and she fell asleep pretty soon after. I was headed to the chiropractor for myself and I figured I'd get her checked out too. On my way there, I called Ryan and the doctor. The nurse called me back and said to just watch her and because it didn't go through her lip, she should be ok. I still need to check and see if her teeth are loose.

We got to the chiropractors a half hour early and I figured I would let Frog sleep.
I was happy that when she woke up she knew who everyone was and was her happy self, talking about her brothers and her ouchy.
Here are the boys waiting patiently in the parking lot.

I swear this girl has had more head injuries than any of my kids.
oh and if you're interested or care, here is my 35.5 week belly picture. This was taken a week ago and I'm almost 37 weeks, which is when it is legal for me to have a baby at home. No this child still does not have a name and won't until he is born, in case you're wondering.
